The KOR ONE is more than just a water bottle. It's a reminder of what motivates you. Designed into the cap is a place for your KOR Stone™ — a disc-shaped token with a message that provides a little bit of inspiration each time you drink.

Click on each stone thumbnail below to preview them in the KOR ONE vessel and read their inspirations on the right from KOR Water’s founders, Eric Barnes and Paul Shustak.

What comes with KOR ONE?

Every KOR ONE ships with five KOR Stones™ in the cap of the vessel, including "Better Me, Better World," "Never Settle," "Find Balance," "Now is the Time," and "Laugh Often." Additionally, a blank, two-sided Stone™ is included for you to create your own personal KOR Stone™. Just use a permanent marker.

How do I change them?

Simply lift the colored cap insert, select your Stone™ and place it face down.

  1. Remove rubber cap.
  2. Choose your stone.
  3. Place the message you want face down at the bottom of the stack.
  4. Replace rubber cap.
  5. Be inspired!
What are they made of?

KOR Stones™ are literally printed on stones — FiberStone® paper to be exact. This material is tree-free, water-proof, and fully recyclable. To learn more, visit www.getfiberstone.com.

Better Me, Better World

Eric

This phrase sums up what we wanted to make KOR all about — a brand that aligns ourselves in balance with our exterior environment. We’re inundated each day with missives to “be more green” or “sacrifice,” yet often the implied message of improving our world is that you must do with less. Less features, less material, less experience, less joy. There is a synergistic option where you can have both... a better you and a better world.

Paul

For me, this is the idea that through smart design and technology we can live more sustainable lives without giving up the things that matter to us as humans, such as such cost, convenience, comfort and aesthetics. It’s not a new idea. Sustainable practices and technologies like organic farming and rail travel have been around for many years. But we like to think of KOR as being in the vanguard of a new wave of innovation in this area. And as good design becomes green design, this will become the norm for all products and services.

Find Balance

Eric

I think most of us would like to “Find Balance” in our lives, yet it always seems an elusive finish line. The fact is, we are always out of balance, but if we can develop a good internal compass, we can always adjust back to center. Balance means different things to different people. To me, “Find Balance” reminds me I have two beautiful daughters and a wife that I’d rather be spending time with right now.

Paul

So simple, yet so powerful. In life, you’ve got to find the sweet spot or things go sour quickly. Balance between work, family and friends. Between the forest and the trees. Between soft and hard. Between flexibility and structure. Between today and tomorrow. Etc., etc!

Laugh Often

Eric

I can take myself and the world too seriously and seeing the words “Laugh Often” immediately loosens me up and think of the funny and optimistic side of life. In the end, the work we spin and the worry we endure are given too much weight. “Laugh Often” puts me at ease.

Paul

Laughter can change your entire mood, even your whole reality in an instant. It’s great to look up at my stone and be reminded of this. There’s almost nothing in life that’s so serious that you can’t laugh about it.

Never Settle

Eric

“Never Settle” is a constant reminder to go the extra step, especially when routine sets and I go on “auto-pilot” to take the path of least resistance. “Never Settle” reminds me of Michael Jordan and Lance Armstrong and the mental tenacity they brought to their game. “Never Settle” is the difference that makes a difference.

Paul

This is meaningful on so many levels for me. It applies to work, relationships, sports, everything. Of course you have to pick your battles, but there are some things you should never compromise on. I was probably thinking mostly about the company at the time we came up with this one. Launching a company is hard and there’s a lot of pressure to compromise. Seeing “Never Settle” on my Stone™ kept me going during some of those moments of doubt.

Now is the Time

Eric

Procrastination is my middle name. I think “Now is the Time” brings us back to the present moment and for me puts first things first.

Paul

This is very Zen for me. The present moment is all we have. You can’t control the future or change the past. Seeing that on my stone is a real wake up call. Get focused. Get into the now.
