KOR Steward FAQ

 

How does the KOR Water Steward program work?

By registering with KOR Water as a “Steward,” you become authorized to market and drive sales of the KOR Water product line on KOR’s website. Please note this program relates ONLY to sales made on KOR’s website and do not qualify for any other retail store, retailer websites or products from other manufacturers on the KOR website. You will receive a unique ID that, when entered by your referrals in the coupon field at checkout, will give a 15% discount off their purchase and earn YOU 15% in commission on each KOR product! You will receive a login to your own Steward account on KOR’s website where you can track your sales and commissions. Your referrals won’t necessarily know that you’re earning commission from each sale unless you tell them. What exactly is a KOR Water Steward?

Becoming a Steward means more than simply offering your friends savings and earning money. As a KOR Water Steward, we expect you to become deeply acquainted with our brand, our mission and our products. KOR Stewards take a leadership role as a water advocate and educating their friends, family and acquaintances of the important water issues we face in container recycling, watershed protection, ocean protection, and the clean water crisis affecting children around the world.

How should I go about marketing KOR?

The best way to market KOR is to simply use your KOR vessels everywhere you go! If you haven’t noticed yet, the KOR vessel has no problem generating attention and inquiries such as, “What is that?”, “Cool water bottle!” and “WTF is that?” We think you know best how to spread our mission. Some will simply tell their friends, family and co-workers about their 15% off coupon. Others might send emails, post on a blog, social media or newsletter, or tweet about it. Along the way, we’ll help by providing images, banners and e-mail copy for you to reference online (coming soon). We do not allow, however, the posting of Steward discount codes on coupon websites, classified ad sites, or discounter/auction sites (such as Craigslist or Ebay).

How do I track my commissions and the orders I’ve referred?

You can login to your account with your username and password to track all sales from KOR's online shop made with your coupon ID.

How do you pay out commissions?

All new orders are marked “pending” until “confirmed” on the 1st of the month occurring two (2) months following the original order. For example, an order placed on February 1 and another one placed on February 28 would be considered pending until confirmed on April 1. During the pending stage, an order may be returned or cancelled and thus allows KOR proper time to ensure all commissioned orders are final. All confirmed orders will be calculated on the 1st of the month and a check will be mailed to the address on your account within that calendar month. Commission payments are only mailed once they exceed $25; if in any month commissions are under $25, your commissions will accrue to the following month.

Do I earn commissions for sales I refer to other retailers selling KOR?

No. The KOR Water Steward program is specifically for sales made only on KOR’s website to direct consumers.

Can my referrals use other active KOR coupons or promotions with my 15% off coupon savings?

No. Often, KOR might run promotions such as free shipping or a discount, but these promotions may not be combined with the 15% off savings under the Steward program. If your referral enters your coupon ID and attempts to use a second promotion, they will be alerted to choose only one promotion for their order. You will only earn commissions if they choose to use your 15% discount code.

Doesn’t this program compete with KOR’s other retailers selling KOR products?

Quite the contrary. KOR believes this program strengthens awareness of our products and sell through at our valued retailers. By encouraging greater sales and exposure to KOR products, more consumers will seek out these unique items at their local retailer. Even with our program’s 15% savings, the shipping cost and delay to receive the product often convinces a customer to make an immediate purchase at our retail partners.

Does KOR collect sales taxes on orders made under a Steward referral?

If the order is shipped within California, where KOR is based, we will collect the appropriate sales tax. Sales tax (and shipping, for that matter) do not factor into the savings or commissions earned under this Steward program.

Will KOR change the Steward program or include additional products?

KOR Water reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the Steward program at any time and without notice. KOR will use best efforts to give notice of any changes, which will affect activity from that point forward, at the time of change on this site. The Steward program currently includes only sales of KOR vessels and gift sets on its own website at korwater.com.
